Planning approved for new 30 storey 540 bed managed student accommodation in the heart of Birmingham City.

Located on Gough Street, Suffolk Street Queensway within Birmingham City, close to the city centre on its South West side within the Ladywood ward. Within walking distance of all Birmingham’s New Street rail station and within close proximity is the mixed use Mail Box and Cube.

Neighbouring the site on its lower eastern end is a locally listed Grade B Christadelphian Hall. North west of the site is the statutory listed Grade II Birmingham Hebrew Congregation (Singers Hill Synagogue). The proposal aims to integrate into the historic pattern of the city block and also provide a building that reflects the wider Birmingham City scale.

Particular focus was placed on the building materials to help reflect the historic context and integrate with the wider Birmingham City Skyline and provide a sustainable and durable quality. With this concept established a contemporary response was sought provide a strong city identity using brick and glass as the proposed materials.
